Academic Excellence

Spring 2008 Cougar Highlights:

• Student-athletes maintained a 3.01 cumulative GPA. This is the eighth consecutive semester that all student-athletes have averaged at least a 3.00 cumulative GPA—all university students earned a 3.08.
• Men’s basketball earned its highest spring semester GPA (2.85) in the last decade, with 50% of team members earning at least a 3.00 semester GPA.
• Football earned its highest cumulative (2.73) and second highest semester (2.69) GPA.
• Fall transfer studentathletes earned an average 2.69 cumulative GPA with 24 credits.

Fall 2007 Cougar Highlights:

• 20 students posted a 4.0 semester GPA.
• Student-athletes maintained a 3.00 cumulative GPA. This is the
  seventh consecutive semester that all student- athletes have averaged at least a 3.00 cumulative GPA and are above All University Students.
• 75 students were named to the President’s Honor Roll.
• Baseball earned its highest semester (2.91) and cumulative (2.93) GPA, and 47% of the players earned over a 3.00 semester GPA.
