Community Outreach and Services

Community service is a vital aspect of the student-athlete experience at WSU. Cougar Athletics is committed to identifying new opportunities to embrace our surrounding community. The Athletic Department values the importance of “giving back” to those who support the efforts of Cougar athletes academically, athletically, and socially. Teams annually partner with various organizations such as Relay for Life, Alternatives to Violence, Pullman Food Bank, Humane Society, Elementary School Reading Buddies, and the Breast Cancer Foundation to name a few. Teams and individuals can also participate in community service through Team CARE which is a student-run outreach group made up of representatives from each of our teams and various other areas within the Athletic Department. Regardless of how Cougars choose to be involved, every effort is made to identify new organizations, causes, and ways to participate in and serve the greater Pullman community. For more information about Team CARE, contact Pippa Pierce at 335-0245.
